Meet The Designer
My name is Jacinta Morrison
I am a proud Bibbulmun Yorgar from Mandurah, walking a path guided by my culture, ancestors, and deep love for my people. I’m a woman striving to become someone my community can look up to — especially the younger generation.
Culture is everything to me and my family — it grounds us, connects us, and reminds us of who we are.
Art speaks to my spirit. It gives me a way to share our stories, honour our Elders, and keep our cultural knowledge strong for the next generation.

THE STORY BEHIND MANDURAH MUSTANGS ARTWORK
This artwork was created to represent connection, strength, and community across the Mandurah Mustangs Football & Netball Club.
The large circles throughout the design symbolise the club as a meeting place — a safe and strong space where players, families, volunteers and supporters come together. These circles are linked by pathways, showing the journeys our players take throughout the club and the support that surrounds them.
The flowing white line through the middle represents our Mandurah waterways and the Peel-Harvey Estuary. For Bindjareb Noongar people, these waterways hold deep cultural significance — they are a reminder of Country, movement, growth and the lifeline that connects us.
The smaller dot patterns capture the many people who make the club what it is: the coaches who guide, the families who cheer, the volunteers who keep everything going, and the community who stand behind the Mustangs every season.
The red tones honour strength, courage and unity — the spirit worn proudly by every player who pulls on the jumper or dress.
This piece tells the story of belonging, connection and the pathways that bring us all together as one club.
