DANNY ADAIR - LIFE MEMBERSHIP

This weekend we celebrated a huge milestone for one of our club’s favourite sons, Danny Adair. Not only is he a favourite son he is a Loyal Son, one of a small group of League players who have rejected the prospect of match payments and success at other clubs, to remain faithful to the Mustangs during our bleakest decade.

Danny was the first player to achieve 50 and 100 game Loyal Sons milestones, and is second behind Stuey Puls to achieve 150 games after taking on a FIFO life a few years ago. Danny has now pocketed $3000 from the scheme so everyone make sure you hit him up for a beer.

Danny came to us in 2006 after 103 junior games with North Mandurah and quickly established himself as a leader, taking on the Colts captaincy the following year and going on to captain the Reserves in 2010, 2011 and League in 2019 becoming the only player in history to captain all 3 grades of men’s footy.

Danny has the distinct accolade of being the only person to get red carded after getting a hole punched in his tongue, the guy that did it didn’t get a card and then went on to win the Ross Elliot medal as the competitions fairest and best player that year. That’s hard to do!

We salute a hard as nails

competitor, courageous leader, hard working club person and one of the nicest gentlemen you could wish to meet with his life membership after 20 seasons at the club.

Games played:

Colts - 27

Reserves - 66

League - 154

247 total - 28 goals
