Troy Ugle 🏉 🏉 😊
The club is excited to welcome Troy aboard to assist Bill Lawler and our new Youth Development Football Academy.
The link and bond between Bill Lawler, Merv Kennedy and Troy goes way back to Carey Park Football Club in Bunbury and the S.W.F.L.
Troy’s football resume and achievements are simply outstanding.
· 1985 – played in S.W.F.L Association side aged 17 and starred.
· 1986 – Carey Park league premiership player and Pike medalist for B.O.G in grand final, aged 18.
· Played 162 games for Swan Districts, kicking 311 goals.
· Played 43 games for West Coast Eagles – 43 goals.
A gifted and versatile player, rated by Merv Kennedy as the best young footballer he has seen in WA and a delight to coach.
The young kid from Carey Park had it all, the Hollywood smile, talent to burn, an appetite to train and the work ethic to climb to the very top of the football ladder.
He is now recognised as one of Carey Park’s and S.W.F.L’s truly great players and left his mark at the Swans and Eagles too. He also coached Port Hedland Swans.
Troy’s football journey, experience, knowledge and humble background is a remarkable and proud story of both life and football.
With so much to offer our younger players and to our club overall, we are grateful that Troy will assist us to grow and develop local young talent that aspire to become good footballers and climb the ever challenging football ladder and find a pathway to success.
